Hello everyone,
I have received a request for an interesting look! At first I wasn’t sure how to interpret this one then it hit me!
I just imagined what Edward Cullen and Mary Kate Olsen’s love child would wear - it is with great pleasure I introduce the Gypsy Vampire.
I have incorporated aspects and attitudes from both styles to make it something wearable for us mere mortals.
The key to this is balance - too much vamp and darkness will make you look like the living dead, too much gypsy will make you look like a homeless person.
I found the perfect way to interpret this look without looking like either of the above is to balance the darkness of the color scheme and heavy fabrics (the vamp) with delicate jewels and accessories (the gypsy).
For example the heaviness of a long black cape can be balanced with light accessories such as feather earrings or rings that inject a slight hint of color into the outfit. The boldness of a long black dress can be made soft and whimsical with the addition of a head chain or Aztec printed fringe bag.
When dressing this way think of yourself as a gypsy wanderer - you want long necklaces and jewels in natural materials like woods, natural stones and antique colored metals. You want long cloaks and capes and skirts reminiscent of wandering cold antique nights. I find some of the best places to source beautiful one off and unique pieces for the Gypsy Vampire look are vintage stores and independent designer boutiques.
Keeping your color scheme dark adds mystery to your look… But dark doesn’t always mean dull!
Long skirts and cloaks in rich dark greens, purples, golds and reds are a perfect way to give your look some color without losing that beautiful dark nature of the style.
So I hope you enjoy the new looks of the Gypsy Vampire - What ever season you are in, I bet it’ll get you excited for winter!
Love
Brooke
Hi All,
Remember I told you I was setting up a blogspot for weekly posts, advice and trend reporting?!?! No?!?! Yes?!?! Anyway, just thought I’d let you all know my second post is up and running!
This time I have reported on crystals and gemstone rings. Crystals have been used for centuries for their spiritual, mental and emotional healing powers and isn’t it great to see they have made their way into the fashion market.
If you are a boho babe and wear crystals but know nothing about them then why not have a read of the post and get acquainted with your jewels - You may start to see they can benefit you in more ways than just your look !

Remember I update this weekly (every Thursday or Friday) so if you love my tumblr why not follow the blogspot too… Article and post requests are very much welcome! I want to write about what YOU want to read.
Keep your requests and questions coming this way and let’s see what today brings WTF!!
Lots of Love
Brooke
